Slateford Road – Road Works

Slateford Road (Near Tynecastle Stadium) has just started to be resurfaced. Work started on the 5th and is due to last 6 weeks. I’m not sure the length is to be resurfaced, but 6 weeks seems to be an aufy long time. Also seems to be a load of navvies standing arround doing not much

Road works on Ardmillan Terrace were supposed to last 6 weeks – they eventually took near to 12. They started off doing “full depth replacement” – basically taking out the road down to the soil and replacing it. It took them near 6 weeks just to do the lower third of the street. After that it appears they gave up doing the full depth replacement and just resurfaced the top layer.
