PublicAccess v7.3.1b @ The City Of Edinburgh Council: Application Details (07/01231/LBC)

Planning permission has been submitted for the demloision of the former Hollyrood Primary School, the Old Sailors Ark building and council houses on New Street, Cannongate. This work will pave the way for the construction of the “Caltongate” scheme which will turn the former New Street Bus station in to a hotel, conference centre, music venue and plush apartments.

Sadly this demoition will remove the former scholl which is a B class Listed Building, Th old Sailors Ark building on the corner of New street and the Royal Mile, and will demolish a 1960’s block of tenements.
